You keep talking about starting with a budget for my project, why?

We have designed some pretty amazing spaces and we can for your project, but if your budget doesn’t meet those great ideas, we will be wasting both of our time. By starting with a realistic budget, you allow us to design based on both your need and your budget. By being candid about your budget it allows us to come up with value driven budget ideas. It’s very normal not to know what a realistic budget should be for your project, let’s talk and we can help you get a better idea.

02/

What is the cost for Remodel and Rebuild?

Every project is unique, and so are their relative costs.
Pricing can vary greatly on a project-by-project basis, largely depending on your budget, your choice of materials, finishing and other requirements.  During our initial discussion, we’ll tell you what ideas will work and what won’t.

Take Note!

Does your budget include consultant fees, accommodations for you if you need to move out for a few months? Does this number include appliances, lighting fixtures and furniture? There are costs outside of your construction budget that you won’t see. Let us know if your budget is inclusive of all these expenses.

Should I budget for costs beyond the proposal price?

This can be a tricky question, but we always advise our customers to set aside additional funds beyond the anticipated cost. Unforeseen issues may arise during the construction stage of the project including bad framework, outdated wiring, and rotting wood can result in additional costs beyond those outlined in the proposal. We always try to limit these expenses and predict these problem areas well in advance. However, issues can arise beyond our control that need our immediate attention. No matter what may happen, our team will do everything we can to “make it right”.

06/

Can You Complete My Project by My Deadline?

This can be a difficult question to answer because it involves how quickly the client can make decisions and not just how fast we work. Some homeowners are really good at making selection and design decisions quickly, while other homeowners need time to think about these things. There is also the issue of plans and permits, which may take several months before they are ready, especially for extensive renovations.
Every remodel or rebuild project is different. We’ll try and give you an estimated timeframe after a full in-person consultation.
And even then, adjustments to the timetable may need to be made in the course of the project.

REMEMBER!
1.    A good home should be in demand and typically carry a backlog of work.
2.    Rushing through the design process can ruin a project, so take your time. If you need the project completed quickly, talk to us and we’ll see whether there are ways things can be speeded up without compromising the quality and integrity of the work done.

10/

When do we receive the interior drawings for review?

Design work begin after you signed design agreement and 70% deposit received. Every design project is different, it depends on the extent of the scope of your design project and how complex it is. We'll give you an estimated time frame after a full in-person consultation.

11/

How do we get started ?

It starts with a telephone or online interview. We believe the first conversation should be done over the phone. This allows both of us to determine whether or not this is a good fit. There are many projects that don’t fit our company profile and process and we would rather have a conversation first, to make sure not to waste your time with a meeting.

05/

Do I need to get a Permit for my project ?

Typically, yes. We rarely come across local councils that don’t require a permit for the larger remodelling projects. If your project is fairly simple, you may not need a permit. Remember that different councils have different rules and guidelines. The best way to find out is to call and ask your local councils.

GOOD NEWS!
We will help to take care of getting all the paper work and inspections that are required for your project.
